Golf Supports Our Troops (GSOT) has been granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity status from the IRS (EIN #20-5739092). Our Mission Statement is To improve the lives of wounded and disabled veterans and active duty troops through the game of golf. No one at GSOT receives any form of financial compensation for their efforts.
We donate golf exercise and training equipment to rehabilitation departments at U.S. military medical facilities and VA hospitals to be used in their physical and recreational therapy programs.
To date we have equipment in place at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the Center for The Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center and about 108 VA hospitals throughout the country.

Golf Supports Our Troops has donated over 21,000 golf clubs, thousands of dozens of new golf balls, driving nets and putting mats to military units serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. This recreational equipment provides our troops with some fun and relaxation time during off-duty hours. Many of the e-mails we receive from the troops tell us that the ability to hit some golf balls or have a putting competition with some of their buddies brings them "a little bit of home".
Over the past 3 years Golf Supports Our Troops has hosted hundreds of disabled veterans at PGA TOUR events including the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Florida, the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio and the Barclays Classic in New Jersey. Arnie and Jack have gratiously donated the tickets and Golf Supports Our Troops provided refreshment money and welcome gifts to the veterans. The PGA TOUR donated the veterans tickets for the Barclays tournament. As a result of the 2008 and 2010 Barclays Classics held at The Ridgewood Country club, Golf Supports Our Troops received $50,000 in grants from PGA Tour Charities.
